Peer Review Process
The editorial board of Jurnal Pengembangan Ketenagakerjaan has established a policy review process as follows:
All manuscripts submitted to this journal must follow this journal's focus, scope, and author guidelines. The submitted manuscripts must fulfill scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope of this journal.
All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to check the similarity (please use Turnitin or iThenticate to check the similarity). Editors will also check the similarity of manuscripts in this journal using Turnitin or iThenticate software.
The review process used in this journal is a double-blind review system. The submitted manuscripts to this journal will be blind peer-reviewed by at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers from Reviewer Acknowledgement. The reviewers give valuable scientific comments improving the contents of the manuscript. Sometimes (if required), a third peer-reviewer is needed to give critical comments on the submitted manuscript.
The Editor in Chief solely makes the final decision of manuscript acceptance (together with the Editorial Board if required for consideration) according to reviewers' critical comments. The final decision of the manuscript is solely based on the Editor and Editorial Board's final review, which considers the peer-reviewers words (but not solely by the Reviewer).
Publication of accepted articles, including assigning the article to a published issue, will be made by the Editor in Chief by considering the sequence of accepted dates and geographical distribution of authors as well as thematic issues.
Review Outcomes
Utilizing feedback from the peer review process, the Editor will make a final publication decision. The review process will take approximately 4 to 12 weeks. Decisions categories include:
- Reject - Rejected manuscripts will not be published, and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit a revised version of the manuscript to Jurnal Pengembangan Ketenagakerjaan.
- Resubmit for Review - The submission needs to be reworked, but it may be accepted with significant changes. However, It will require a second round of review.
- Accept with Revisions - Manuscripts receiving an accept-pending-revisions decision will be published in Jurnal Pengembangan Ketenagakerjaan under the condition that minor/major modifications are made. An editor will review revisions to ensure necessary updates are made before publication.
- Accept - Accepted manuscripts will be published in the current form without further modifications.
