Abstract

Workplace accidents at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) remain relatively high postmerger, with 604 reported cases. This is attributed to the low participation and compliance levels of workers in safety programs. Management factors play a role in the occurrence ofthese workplace accidents at Pelindo. Efforts to prevent workplace accidents can be achieved through the implementation of safety performance. Leaders, as part of management, are responsible for ensuring the application of safety measures to improve workplace safety performance. This study aims to examine the relationship between safety leadership and safety performance in the Directorate of Office Management at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero). The research employs a quantitative method using Gamma and Somers' D tests. The results show that the Somers' D test yields an r-value of 0.455 with a significance level (p-value) of 0.00, which is less than 0.05. Safety leadership has a positive and significant relationship with safety performance. The better the implementation of safety leadership, the better the safety performance of workers in the Directorate of Office Management at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero).
